This Privacy Policy explains what personal information JD Collection ("we", "us") collects through Joinery Designer (app.jdcollection.co.za), how we use it, and your rights under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
1. What we collect

We do not collect or store your card number or banking details — payments are handled entirely by Paystack, our PCI-compliant payment processor.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and maintain the Service, including saving your designs.
- To process subscription payments and manage renewals, via Paystack.
- To send account-related emails (e.g. billing confirmations, support replies).
- To improve the Service and fix issues.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your data for advertising.
3. Where your data is stored
Account and design data is stored using Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers KV). Payment processing and card data are handled by Paystack. Both providers maintain their own security and compliance standards.

We don't share your information with any other third party except where required by law.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and saved designs for as long as your account exists, including after cancelling a subscription, so your projects are there if you resubscribe. If you'd like your account and data deleted entirely, email us and we'll action it.
6. Your rights (POPIA)
You can ask us at any time to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; or delete your account and associated data. Email jon@jdcollection.co.za to make a request — we'll respond within a reasonable time.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including password hashing (PBKDF2), signed session cookies, and HTTPS encryption across the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
8. Children's privacy
Joinery Designer is a professional/trade tool and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
